RE: Efficiency Maine
This is a reminder that the Public Utilities Commission administers the Efficiency Maine program, which is designed to reduce energy costs in a number of different categories, one of which is existing school buildings.
Custom cash incentives are available for a variety of products that save electric energy, thus reducing operating costs. Applications, guidelines and dollar amounts are available on the Public Utilities Commission’s website at: http://www.efficiencymaine.com
At this point in time, the Maine School Management Association is considering the possibility of a work session on Efficiency Maine at the annual Fall Conference. I would like to encourage you to obtain the information from their website at: http://www.msmaweb.com
This is an excellent opportunity to improve existing school facilities while taking advantage of the potential of lowering your schools’ operating costs.
