Subject:          School Bus Component Recall/Repair Notice: Wabasto Scholastic 45,000 BTU Units

 

Date:               March 25, 2005

 

 

We have received notification from W. C. Cressey and Son, Inc. that certain Wabasto fuel fired heaters installed in school buses have a manufacturer’s defect in the combustion chamber of the unit.  This recall relates to the 45,000 BTU Scholastic fuel fired heaters only.  The smaller TSL17 units are not subject to this recall.

 

            SAUs having school buses with this unit installed should contact George Cressey at W. C. Cressey.  Phone number: 1-800-794-6113 or 207-205-1331.  Email: georgecressey@wccressey.com.  You will need the serial number from the Wabasto unit to access the recall service.
