SUBJECT: Advance Notice of Student Data Requirements
The No Child Left Behind Act
(NCLB) requires states to identify graduation data, dropout data and aggregate
daily attendance and membership by ethnicity and gender as well as in following
four sub-groups:

Limited English
Proficient students
o
Students with Disabilities
o
Economically Disadvantaged
students (Free & Reduced Lunch)
In order to meet these federal requirements, the Department of
Education will be modifying the 2004-05 Fall School Statistic Report (EF-M-40),
the 2003-04 Report of Public/Selected Private School System –
Part II Dropouts (EF-M-35A) and the Report of Public/Selected Private School
System for Year Ending
The 2004-05 Fall School Statistic Report
(EF-M-40) and the 2003-04
Report of Public/Selected Private School System – Part II Dropouts (EF-M-35A)
will be modified to include the four sub-groups and will become web-based
reports. More information will be
provided on these two reports in September.
