RE:†††††††††††††††††† Request for Proposals (RFP): Maine Learn and Serve Service Learning Grant
†††† The Maine Department of Education is pleased to announce the Maine Learn and Serve Service Learning grant program. This initiative is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service designed to support the implementation of Service Learning in Maine schools. Grant applications will be due by 2:00 p.m., local time, on December 5, 2003.
†††† Applications are sought for grants in the amount of $6,000 that support the continued implementation of Service Learning in schools/school systems that are experienced in Service Learning and are willing to mentor and network with schools/school systems with no Service Learning experience.
†††† Additionally, applications are sought for grants in the amount of $10,000 that support the implementation of Service Learning in schools/school systems with no Service Learning experience that are willing to network with schools/school systems that are experienced in Service Learning.
†††† Preference will be given to programs with clearly stated measurable objectives addressing the components of the program as outlined in the RFP. The deadline for submission of applications is 2:00 p.m., local time, December 5, 2003.
