RE: Contracts to provide opportunities for Community Service and Related Services for Expelled and Suspended Youth
Request
for Proposals
The Maine Department of Education announces the availability of funding under the Safe and Drug Free School and Communities Act to provide community service and related services for expelled and suspended students. Eligible applicants are School Administrative Units, Community Based Organizations, Faith-Based Organizations, and Public or Private Non-Profit Entities. A copy of the application is available on the Department of Education website at http://www.maine.gov/education/csesy.htm
Application Information
Available funding is $498,375 for 2003-2004.
The estimated number of contract awards is six (6).
Grant funding is for one (1) year.
Application deadline is November 7, 2003 at 2 pm.
One signed original and three (3) sealed
copies of the proposal must be clearly marked with the bidder's return address
and the notation: "Proposal: (Community Service for expelled &
suspended Youth)" and delivered to the Division of Purchases, Burton M.
Cross Building - 4th Floor, State House Station 9, Augusta, ME 04333-0009 no
later than 2:00 p.m. local time on November 7, 2003, at which time and place
they will be opened. Please note that only proposals actually received and date
stamped at the Division of Purchases prior to the stated time will be
considered; bidders submitting proposals by mail are responsible for allowing
adequate time for delivery. Proposals received after the 2:00 p.m. deadline
will be rejected, without exception.
