The following Communications Timeline is being sent to you to ensure that you are made aware of the dates for communicating information related to AYP and Continuous Improvement Priority Schools in Maine.
August 29, 2003 Informational Letter #20 on AYP and the Fact Sheet posted to the MDOE Website
September 1, 2003 Superintendents were notified if any schools in their districts were identified as Continuous Improvement Priority Schools (CIPS) for Reading
September 26, 2003 MEA Math AYP data is sent to the Department of Education from Measured Progress
October 3, 2003 Superintendents are notified if any schools in their districts are identified as Continuous Improvement Priority Schools (CIPS) for Math
October 8, 2003 Notification is sent to superintendents who have schools in their districts that are being identified as Continuous Improvement Monitor Schools (CIMS) for Reading and/or Math
October 15, 2003 An ATM session on AYP takes place from 3:00 to 4:30 P.M. at the following sites (note room capacity in parentheses): Caribou High School (15-20); South Portland High School (12); Bangor Public Library (12-15); Department of Education, Cross Office Building, Augusta (60)
October 27, 2003 Press Conference on Continuous Improvement Priority Schools (CIPS) is held in Augusta
October 27-29, 2003 Editorial Board meetings are held with various newspapers
