“Rethinking Accountability – Building State and Local Capacity for Achieving Maine’s Education Vision”

 

Part I of a Four-Part Series

 

District Teams will have an opportunity to acquire new information and perspective related to build a balanced system of accountability.  Associated tools and materials will be provided.

 

When:              August 12, 2004

                        Program:  8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

 

Where:             Augusta Civic Center, North Wing

 

Who:                Events Designed for District Teams – Superintendent, School Board Member, Administrator, Teacher and Parent

Speakers:         Governor Baldacci, Commissioner Gendron, Harry Pringle and Eric Herlan (Drummond & Woodsum), Ken Jones, Director of Teacher Education, USM

 

Cost:                Minimal Fee with Lunch and materials provided

 

 

Note:  This will be the 1^st in a series of four “Rethinking Accountability” events aimed at providing support to LEAs for meeting the needs of all learners.  Follow-up events will be held in September, December, and March.  Course credit option will be available.  REGISTRATION MATERIALS TO FOLLOW NEXT WEEK…
