RE: Per Pupil Professional Development Funds

Enclosed is the FY 02 (for 2001-2002) application for the Per Pupil Professional Development (PPPD) funds to support the implementation of the Learning Results. All school systems are eligible for these funds each year. Each school system must decide if it wants to receive the funds individually ($8 per pupil) or as part of a consortium ($10 per pupil). Enrollment is based on October 2000 data.


Changes made to the program this year include:

      All school systems must complete a PPPD application to receive the funds.

      Data regarding the use of last years funds are necessary for us to report to the Legislature.

      Applications will be accepted from now until March 1, 2002.

      The application for 2001-2002 consists of a budget plus a budget narrative. Please establish your data gathering systems based on the Budget Report form for FY 01 (2000-01) we have included.
