Food Benefits

The food benefits provided support WIC's nutrition education messages, better promote and support successful long-term breastfeeding and provide more variety of foods. Food benefits are tailored to a participant's needs, as well as age and breastfeeding level. For example, a woman who is fully breastfeeding her baby receives different types and amounts of foods than a one year old child.
