The Communications Office provides leadership of the coordination and distribution of all internal and external communications for all Department of Health and Human Services programs.  Internal communications include a monthly newsletter, highlights prepared for the Governor, posters, fliers and the DHHS Intranet.  External communications include news releases, presentations to the legislature, fact sheets, brochures and the Internet. The Communications Office establishes and reinforces the brand awareness of DHHS, creates messaging to assure consistency across the organization and is the hub for all media inquiries.

Long Term Care    Details +

Responsible for managing state and federally funded long term care services for elders and adults with disabilities. This includes overseeing the statewide uniform assessment process for determining level of care needs for nursing home placements and for in home services. In addition, OES oversees the statewide home care coordination agency that works with individuals receiving home care.
