Preparing State Agencies for a new HRMS, PRISM

PRISM will be the state’s first major HR system upgrade in 30 years. The project team is committed to managing these changes in a way that ensures each stakeholder has the tools and knowledge to effectively embrace the new system.

The PRISM project team has developed a change network to make the change “real” for agencies. Key individuals across all agencies will bring the change to life, encourage new and desired behaviors, and embed the changes into their organizations.

PRISM Project Team

PRISM has brought together key resources to lead Maine state government through project delivery, change management, and functional design of this new system. The State of Maine Project Team also includes Subject Matter Experts from across Agencies, Departments, and Branches who are qualified to represent business interests and serve to define system requirements.

Change Leaders Across the Organization

The Change Management team has assembled two groups, the Stakeholder Advisory Group and our Change Ambassadors, to help with organizational change management work and change management challenges and serve as points of contact across all agencies and departments within state government. Both groups function to support peer-to-peer communication and information sharing. Stakeholder Advisors additionally bring the big picture perspective for Departmental needs and provide business impact on future state changes. Change Ambassadors actively act as influencers for system adoption and support training and educational efforts within their own networks.

This diagram shows how these two groups function as our readiness network:
