Grant Announcements

As MDOL’s MJRP resources become available via RFA/RFP, grant announcements will be posted here:

  • Maine Apprenticeship Program expansion: The Maine Department of Labor is seeking proposals from businesses, unions, education and training providers, community-based organizations, workforce development organizations, and/or current or potential Apprenticeship intermediaries to create new and expand existing registered Apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship opportunities in Maine.   • Peer Workforce Navigator Pilot: The pilot program from the Maine Department of Labor will engage with organizations that work closely with underserved populations who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic to connect them to employment, skills development, and resources for needs such as child care and transportation. Listening Sessions

During late September and early October, the Maine Department of Labor and State Workforce Board conducted a total of seven listening sessions with more than 200 participants—representing statewide partners, local area workforce boards, employers, union representatives, services providers and community-based organizations.
