Rep. Ed Crockett is serving his fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives. He sits on the Taxation Committee and the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee.

A Portland native, Crockett was born and raised on Munjoy Hill. He earned undergraduate degrees in journalism and broadcasting from the University of Maine at Orono and later earned a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.

Crockett is currently the president of Capt’n Eli’s Soda, a premium Maine soft drink company. Previously, he held leadership positions with iconic Maine food and beverage brands including Country Kitchen, Hannaford and Oakhurst Dairy, and also worked as a newscaster at a Bangor-based television station.

Crockett is the author of the memoir, “The Ghosts of Walter Crockett.” He is a former board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, a former corporator for Boys and Girls Clubs and spent 20 years as a volunteer youth coach.
