Sixteen Regional Sites
There is one CDS site in each of Maine's sixteen counties. Each regional site is accountable for their specific population of children birth through five in need of Early Intervention Services or Special Education programs. Click here for a Regional Site Contact List.

Early Childhood Performance Profiles

The Department of Education is required under IDEA to report annually to the public on each of Maine’s Early Intervention Services (EIS) Program performance in meeting targets set by the State Performance Plan (SPP).  The requirement for public reporting on EIS performance is a critical provision in ensuring accountability and focusing on improved results for children with disabilities.  The Department of Education developed reports on a combination of performance and compliance indicators that are presented as profiles by CDS Sites. Part C indicators are applicable to infants and toddlers birth through two years of age. Part B indicators are applicable to children ages three through five. The profiles are available at
www.maine.gov/education/speced/spp/cdsprofiles.html.

CDS Site Program Monitoring

As with Performance Profiles, Child Development Services is required to make public CDS Site Program Monitoring Reports. In compliance with state and federal requests to make reports available online, CDS reports demonstrate findings along with any corrective action that is taking place.
