Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Many Federal fund recipients receive their funds via electronic funds transfer (EFT).  This allows funds to be deposited into an identified bank account without the delay experienced in issuing paper checks.

New EFT Instructions

In order to apply for EFT, you must fill out the Authorization for EFT/Direct Deposit.

Please return the completed form to the Office of the State Controller.  The address is in the upper left hand corner of the form. Incomplete forms will not be processed by the Controller.

EFT Update for Email Remittance

In the event that your entity currently uses EFT but does not receive an e-mail remittance, use the form linked above to update the EFT permissions.  Complete the payee information section and check the box to authorize the State of Maine to send the EFT payment detail to the email address indicated.  In the OLD Bank Info section, write SAME, and then sign and send the form to the address noted on the form.

The e-mail remittance will contain the amount and appropriate grant identification information.
