Program Description – written by Nimble Mind, LLC

We are using Curriculum Associates (CA) and their Response to Intervention (RTI) curriculum program which is research based and each of the components has been specifically designed to serve students and their teachers with differentiated instruction for general education classes and the intervention setting. The program is designed for teaching interventions in reading and math and includes a 4 part model: assessment, instruction, application; monitoring and reporting. The Comprehensive Assessment of Reading Strategies (CARS) and the Comprehensive Assessment of Mathematics Strategies (CAMS) programs are highlighted because they deliver quick diagnostic results for both the teacher and the student with a strong management system. The programs offer immediate feedback on the student’s weaknesses; focused instructional goals; student engagement in the learning progress; and student motivation to learn about their own learning.

Delivery model: Small group synchronous real-time online live sessions with periodic individual assessment of student progress with parents.

Pre-assessment exam review of student academic record along with discussion of goals and objectives of tutoring with parents to formulate an individual student plan for math and reading. Notes on student progress to plan will be taken after each session and reviewed with student and parent after every ten hours of tutoring. Written updates to schools will be given monthly.
