RE:                   Take Time! Physical Activity Program

“Supporting School Wellness Policies”

To support Maine educators in their efforts to address wellness in their school environment, the Maine Center for Public Health and the USM Muskie School of Public Service are pleased to offer two free trainings of Take Time! – a model physical activity program that may be used to assist with the physical activity portion of the School Wellness Policy.

The Take Time! Program was developed for schools by State and local-level physical activity experts. The program has proved to be a success in over 20 schools in Maine where principals and teachers are fitting 10-20 minutes of accumulated physical activity per school day outside of PE class with little to no additional resources or preparation time and without taking away from academics.

What will the Take Time! Trainings include?

Training 1 - Tuesday, May 16th in Bangor from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Training 2 – Wednesday, May 31st in Yarmouth from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
