RE: Fuel / Energy Survey
The Department of Education shares your concern for the impact of escalating fuel and energy costs on local schools and their budgets for FY2005-06 and beyond. In an effort to better understand the short-term and long-term impact of increases, we have created a web-based survey to gather more information. Your timely response to the survey is very important and appreciated.
The information requested will be used to examine the impact of recent increases in heating and transportation fuel costs on your FY2005-06 budget, as well as provide an accurate and timely way to measure any influence the increases may have on our calculated cost for the financial year 2006-07 Essential Programs and Services model.

In order to be part of this very important effort, you must submit the survey by Friday, October 21, 2005.
