RE: 12 th Annual Education Law Conference
I am pleased to announce that the 12 th Annual Education Law Conference will be held from July 25- July 27, 2005 at the Eastland Hotel in Portland and the post-Conference sessions will be held on July 28, 2005 at the University of Southern Maine. The Conference will provide educational opportunities for educators, policy-makers, advocates, and practitioners alike.
Conference topics for 2005 will include No Child Left Behind, the new IDEA, Testing, Bullying, School Safety, Charters & School Choice, the Supreme Court on Religion, and other up-to-the minute issues of concern. There will be special strands on Autism, the Civic Mission of Schools, and the Educational Pipeline: from Preschool to Professional School. The post-Conference sessions will offer three strands, one addressing issues around granting diplomas, another devoted specifically to private schools, and the third is a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) session for lawyers focusing on current ed law topics.
