RE:                  UPDATE – Average Daily Attendance

 

 

            This is a follow up to the July 2, 2004 Informational  Letter #3 in which I requested that you take no further action on submitting Average Daily Attendance until we had more information from the US Department of Education.

 

            At this time, my instruction is that you complete the form for the aggregate daily attendance and the aggregate daily membership for elementary/middle schools for the 2003-2004 school year by Tuesday, July 20, 2004.  It is essential that we gather this information quickly because we must meet our timeline for Measured Progress to get the information to us in time for AYP reporting prior to the opening of schools for 2004-2005.

 

            We are not able to report by subgroup at this time, but will continue our negotiations with the U.S. Department of Education regarding how Maine will comply with this federal requirement.

            NOTE: To access the web form, you will need to use the same superintendent login ID used for the School Lunch Reimbursement System.

 

            The information requested can be found on the Elementary/Secondary School Register, Page 10, Lines 11 and 12. The form has been edited to request ADA for whole school only, not subgroups.
