Putting Policy into Practice

Because Maine’s educational system is primarily a “local control” system in which local school administrative units make local decisions about how they implement policies, the specific procedures and practices in place to advance these policies are inconsistent and unfortunately are left to chance without state mandates.

In this section, we will offer helpful procedural tools developed by various school leaders, staff and students, which are used to improve processes, communications, strategies, and feedback loop informing quality assurances related to reducing bullying and harassment. We invite addition tools and resources to share in this section with others statewide.
