TIPS FOR USING THE MAINE STATE PARK RESERVATION PUBLIC WEBSITE SYSTEM

Welcome to the Department of Conservation’s State Park Campground public web site. New for 2008, we will only accept reservations for the maximum of 14 nights, per phone call or website session. You may add additional nights, per our policy, at another time. Campers wishing to make up to two reservations may do so on the public website. You can ONLY make reservations for yourself, and they cannot be for the same park or within the same time periods. Making a reservation on line requires customers to have the following information available.

  • You will be required to fill in a Customer Log In form. Please follow the directions included in this important process.
  • Name and address of camper, including your zip code and e-mail address (which is connected to your name and very important to making a reservation)
  • You will be asked which park you’d like to visit, the size of your equipment, number of people in your party, and if you are bringing a pet. NO pets are allowed at Sebago Lake State Park. For those selecting Sebago Lake and Camden Hills State parks, you will have the opportunity to request sites that have electric and water hook-ups. Please understand that these sites will be an additional $10.00 more per site, per night.

  • We must receive your reservation by telephone, walk in, or Internet, two business days prior to your first night’s stay.
  • Based on your search for a suitable site, you will be able to hold two campsites in your shopping cart for up to fifteen (15) minutes only. If you have not made a reservation at by the end of 15 minutes, those sites will be put back into the inventory for other customers to reserve. We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover.
  • Please take the time to read the agreement/disclaimer which explains some of the important rules, and the Bureau’s refund and cancellation policies.
  • Once the reservation is made, you will be able to print your reservation permit, which you will need to bring to the park and present to staff upon your arrival.
  • Your reservation will be assigned a permit number. If you need to cancel or make changes to your reservation, this number will expedite any future changes. In addition, the customer will be assigned a customer ID number. When making future reservations, you will be able to enter this number, and your personal information will appear, which will make it faster to use our system in the future.
  • Our sites all are designated based on the equipment that the site can accommodate. Folks who have camped with us in previous years will note a new designation in the equipment drop down. Search the specific site descriptions to find what individual sites can accommodate your equipment. For example, if your camper is forty two (42) feet, then you should search for sites that would show “maximum camper length is 42 feet.”
