Welcome to the Maine Campground Reservation Website 20th Anniversary
1988 - 2008

The reservations staff, at the Bureau of Parks and Lands, is here to help you plan what we hope will be your best vacation ever in Maine’s State Parks. This year, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Maine’s reservation program. There are many convenient ways to make camping reservations for 2008. Please understand that during peak periods, the three Call Center telephone lines are extremely busy. Make your reservation as early in the season as possible in order to secure a site. To make a reservation:

  • The internet/website will officially open on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 9:00 A.M., for the camping season – May 19 to September 7. Beginning September 8, 2008, all campsites become first-come/first-serve and off-season rates apply. Please call the park directly for official closing dates and fees. The Internet address is: www.campwithme.com
  • The Call Center will open on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 9:00 A.M and for the remainder of the season will be open Monday – Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. - closed on holidays. Please call: 800-332-1501 in Maine and 207-624-9950 for all others.
  • Mail-in reservations must not be postmarked earlier than February 1, 2008. A minimum of 4-nights, during the month of February, is required for Sebago Lake reservations. Beginning March 1, 2008, we will accept Sebago Lake reservations for less than 4 nights. The address is: Department of Conservation, ATTN: Campground Reservations, 22 SHS, 18 Elkins Lane, Augusta, ME 04333.
  • Walk-in reservations can be dropped off at the Dept. of Conservation in February. Bureau staff members will be available to assist you if necessary. If you walk in beginning March 1 through September 5, 2008, you can use the Augusta Call Center courtesy telephone to request a reservation. NEW for 2009, in February, all walk in customers will be required to fill out forms, enclose appropriate payment, and drop off reservation requests. Staff will process your request in the order it was received throughout the business day.

NEW for 2008, the reservation system will accept reservations for the maximum of 14-nights by telephone or Internet.

This will be our second season with the real-time internet reservation system. Campers who wish to make reservations for popular campsites are encouraged to utilize this process. Your reservation will be processed immediately, at any time of the day, and you can print your permit from home.

Please be sure to review all of the Bureau of Parks and Lands rules, regulations, and policies before making your campground reservation. As always, we are dedicated to providing quality service to our camping customers, and hope the improvements we make each season add to your state park experience.

We look forward to your visit to Maine State Parks this season.
