The Penobscot Narrows Observatory
Managed in partnership for the people of Maine and their guests by
Maine Department of Transportation and Maine Department of Conservation
The Penobscot Narrows Bridge
opened to the
public on December 30th, 2006 after 3 years of construction. The bridge is
2,120 feet long, weighs 126 million pounds and cost 85 million dollars. The
Observatory opened in May, 2007. |
