Core Session 3

The Department is announcing a presentation of core training session number 3, Hazardous and Special Waste open to all. This will be a one-day workshop for municipal transfer station operators, commercial operators, selectmen, town managers, and others interested.

We have used a PowerPoint slide presentation of operational issues at transfer stations around the State in previous training sessions on this topic. The slides lead participants through a visual discussion of how to operate a transfer facility and provide an opportunity to learn from others’ successes and mistakes. This presentation is periodically updated to include new slides focusing on the most recent challenges to transfer station operation. Lunch and Refreshments will be served. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Program begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Registration fee is $25.00 per person including lunch, refreshments, and materials. Please make your check payable to Treasurer, State of Maine. Please return your registration before October 30 or we cannot guarantee you a seat.
