All regions of the state are meeting the lower 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard.

The design value is an important number because this is what EPA and Maine DEP use to determine whether an area is attaining (meeting) the 8-hour National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for Ozone.
