Ozone

All regions of the state are meeting the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard.

The design value is an important number because this is what EPA and Maine DEP use to determine whether an area is attaining (meeting) the 8-hour National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for Ozone. The following chart clearly demonstrates that ozone levels in Maine are meeting the current Ozone standard in all regions of the state.
