The Two Rivers Chapter of Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will be hosting a tour of the of the Georgia Fuller Wiesendanger Wildlife Protection Area on Saturday, August 16, from 9 a.m. till noon. Tours will consist of a current harvest operation and a review of past harvesting activities as well as a talk and tour of the Chestnut seed orchards on the property.
The property is in Winthrop/Readfield. Directions: from the intersection of Route 17 and 202, travel 2 miles west on 202. Take a right onto Old Village Road, followed by another right onto the Case Road. The entrance to the property will be 1/2 mile in on the left. Signs will be posted. Hope to see you there!
