Message from the Executive Director

The general mission of the Maine Workers' Compensation Board is to serve the employees and employers of the State fairly and expeditiously by ensuring compliance with the workers' compensation laws, ensuring the prompt delivery of benefits legally due, promoting the prevention of disputes, utilizing dispute resolution to reduce litigation and facilitating labor-management cooperation.

** New Workers' Compensation Board forms became effective January 1, 2013. The Board will no longer accept old forms after March 31, 2013. The new forms can be found on our website at: http://www.maine.gov/wcb/departments/forms.htm. **

** ** In accordance with Title 39-A §209-A, the annual update of the Medical Fee Schedule has been completed. Click here to obtain the updated appendices effective for dates of service on or after 1-1-2013.** **

** NEW FORMS: the Board has adopted all new forms effective January 1, 2013**

** The 125th Maine Legislature enacted LD 1913 hailed as “the first major workers’ compensation reform in 20 years”. The new law is effective in part on August 30, 2012 and the balance is effective on January 1, 2013. Click here for a summary of the changes.**
