Jen McKenna is on planning committee; there will be a sub-committee of employers Planning meeting to be held in Portland on October 12 & 13, 2018 • An organizer is paid to develop the Conference. State is not involved in the contract process • Maine can assist with event planning, outside ‘field trips’, arrange for Color Guard, benediction – those types of events; input into speakers and workshops; sponsors for breakfast, lunch, hospitality suite, give aways, etc., Tracey C: Job Corps has an outstanding Color Guard that could perform Joan: Could we include Job Corp and YouthBuild? Jill: Current audience is usually union and trades Charlie: Want to break that paradigm to bring in health care, manufacturing, etc., Jen B: Healthcare Forum may consider sponsorship Tracey C: Suggested bringing in other Job Corps – Boston, Rhode Island, etc. Joan: Need a panel focused on building career pathways via apprenticeship
