Older Worker Committee meeting 11/14/17 Present: Pete Letourneau, Don Harden (phone), Jim McGrath (phone), Sandy Butler (phone) Staff: Cheryl Moran The meeting was called to be informal due to low attendance. The main focus was a post-report of the 2017 Silver Collar Employer Award presentations. Cheryl reported how honored the employers were to be awarded and to have the State Workforce Board and Older Worker Committee members present the award at their place of business. Cheryl stated how it is a rewarding and educational experience to present the award at their place of business because you receive a closer in-depth look at what they do. Cheryl stated that she will email the 2018 meeting schedule after the Thanksgiving holiday. She also asked everyone to think about what they would like to focus on in the New Year besides the Silver Collar Award although that is the main focus. Cheryl mentioned that she will speak to Fred Webber, Chair of the State Workforce Board to receive his blessing of appointing Pete Letourneau as the new Chair of the Older Worker Committee.
