Arrange for someone to install latches on your cupboards and secure movable objects
Put away a blanket or sleeping bag for each member of your family.

Check to make sure you have these things. If not, pick them up at the hardware store.

Double-sided tape or hook-and-loop fasteners (like Velcro)
Plastic bucket with tight lid
Plastic sheeting
