Will a Mylar space blanket save you at 40 below in blizzard-force winds? Of course not! A good space blanket, however, will reflect back a lot of your heat -- they're used by rescuers of all sorts. Having one in your car might just help keep you cozy when you're broken down in East Moosejaw, Saskatchewan. Check your cupboards. Do you have these items? If not, pick them up at the grocery store this week.

  • 1 can of meat (1 for each member of the household)
  • 1 can of fruit(1 for each)
  • 1 can of vegetables (1 for each)
  • 1 package of eating utensils
  • 1 package of paper plates
  • Cups
