Look carefully and signal before changing lanes

Drivers changing lanes without carefully checking traffic, or without signaling, are a significant contributor to traffic accidents. Check for oncoming traffic, or for drivers passing you. Then put on your signal, and change lanes safely.

Spare change and batteries ...

  • Store a roll of quarters for emergency phone calls.
  • Go on a hunt with your family to find a pay phone that is close to your home.
  • Test your smoke detector(s). Replace the battery in each detector that does not work.

Check your pantry for the following items. If you do not have them, pick them up at the grocery store this week.

  • 1 large can of juice (1 for each member of the household
  • Large plastic food bags
  • 1 box quick energy snacks
  • 3 rolls of paper towels
  • Medicine dropper
