Look carefully and signal before changing lanes

Drivers changing lanes without carefully checking traffic, or without signaling, are a significant contributor to traffic accidents. Check for oncoming traffic, or for drivers passing you. Then put on your signal, and change lanes safely.

  • Choose a signal for your family and friends to let them know you are okay and have left the disaster site.

Check your cupboards. Do you have these items? If not, pick them up at the grocery store this week.

  • 1 can of ready-to-eat soup (1 for each member of the household
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Household chlorine bleach
  • 1 box of heavy-duty garbage bags
  • Antacid (for upset stomach)
Also, saline solution and a contact lens case, if needed.
