Bid Opportunities

In-person Bid Openings

You can join us for Bid Opening in the main conference room at the Augusta Headquarters Building at 16 Child Street (please read instructions posted on the main entrance) every Wednesday at 11am.  

The Department still encourages use of our online bidding system, Bid Express. If you have a paper bid that you are delivering to the MaineDOT office, you can drop it into the marked receptacle at any time of day on any day of the week at the main entrance of the Augusta Headquarters Building. You can also drop it off at the front desk during business hours. Call George Macdougall at 207-624-3353 or 207-624-3000 if you have any questions. All deliveries from the U.S. Post Office, FedEx, etc. will be received as usual. For more information on Bid Express contact Guy Berthiaume at 207-624-3534 or Guy.Berthiaume@maine.gov. You can also contact Bid Express via their website or by calling (888)-352-2439. Not all projects accept Electronic Bids through Bid Express. Please review the Notice to Contractors and see if it specifically states that Electronic Bids will be accepted.

These two segments for 10 miles are the first in a six-segment corridor of the full 31-mile trail from Fryeburg to Standish.
