About Rep. Verow
Rep. Arthur “Archie” Verow is serving his first term in the Maine House of Representatives. His District 21 is entirely within the City of Brewer and includes a majority of the city. He will serve as a member of the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Transportation.
A retired City Clerk he is continuing his public service as a two term member of the Brewer City Council, on which he served two terms as Brewer Mayor. Archie is a past president and current member of the Kiwanis Club and serves on the Board of Directors of St. Xavier’s Home. He is a member of the “Other Maine Writers” group and has published several short works of fiction.
He serves on the steering committee for the City of Brewer’s Bi-centennial and on the Board of Directors of the Brewer Historical Society. He sees great value in citizen participation and input in state and local government issues and encourages citizens to contact him with their ideas and suggestions on how government might better serve them.
A life-long resident of Maine, Archie and his wife, Fran, were parents to three children and have three grandchildren. They live in the City of Brewer.
