About Rep. Theriault

Rep. Charles “Ken” Theriault is serving his fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives. He is the House chair of the Legislature's Joint Standing Committee on Transportation and is chair of the Franco-American Caucus. A retired paper maker, Theriault served as local president of the Maine Pulp and Paper Resource council and is a former member of the Maine Labor council. He has served as Little League coach, small wood lot owner and part time farmer. He is committed to helping Aroostook County grow economically by updating northern Maine’s transportation infrastructure.

Rep. Theriault is a Director of the Madawaska Snowmobile Club and International Snowmobile Festival and a member of the Four Season Trail Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of healthier lifestyles for the people of Madawaska.A fourth degree member and past Grand Knight of the Madawaska Knights of Columbus, Rep. Theriault is also helping to plan the 2014 World Acadian Congress.

A native Mainer of Franco-American descent, Theriault and his wife, Patsy, have two children and four grandchildren. They live in Madawaska.
