Issues

I am interested in promoting intelligent economic development in my district and throughout the state. Of particular importance is the state’s investment in biomedical and marine research and development. The colleges and universities of our state, both public and private, hold the key to our future, both in terms of educating our children and providing the entrepreneurial incubator of the businesses they will create and work in. We must also continue to reform the state’s tax structure, encouraging the business leaders of tomorrow to stay in Maine and provide tax relief to the working poor and middle class taxpayers who work so hard to make ends meet and provide for their families.
