Democrat Kim Monaghan-Derrig is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives. Representative Monaghan-Derrig first served in 2011 after winning a special election in Cape Elizabeth.

Monaghan-Derrig grew up in Cape Elizabeth, is married to Kevin Derrig and has a daughter.   She was elected to the local school board in 2010.  Her professional background includes both public and private sectors of Tourism Marketing, Project/Event Management, Online Publishing and Political employment.  She is also a ballet instructor for advanced-level students.  Monaghan-Derrig has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Maine and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from USM/Muskie School of Public Service.
