Rep. Silsby
Rep. Kim Silsby is serving her first term in the Maine House of
Representatives. She is a member of the Committee on Business,
Research and Economic Development.
Silsby is a certified teacher who is working as a Service-Learning
Coordinator. She attended Gray-New Gloucester High School and earned
her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine. She earned
her master’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
Silsby gained political experience as an elected official on Augusta’s
Board of Education. She is also a member of the city’s Comprehensive
Planning Committee.
In addition to her legislative and municipal service, Silsby advises
three Girl/Cub Scout groups. She is an avid skier, hiker, gardener
and camper.
Silsby lives on the east side of Augusta with her husband and
three children.
