About
Rep. Beck
Rep. Henry Beck is serving his first term in the Maine House of Representatives,
where he represents parts of Waterville and Oakland. He is a member of the
Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Insurance and Financial
Services.
A graduate of Waterville High School, Rep. Beck is currently a
student at Colby College. He is also an American Legion and Sen.
George J. Mitchell Scholar, and attends services at Corpus Christi
Parish.
Since 2006, Rep. Beck has been the youngest member of Waterville’s
City Council, and serves as chair of Waterville’s Environmental
Sustainability Committee. His primary work has been dedicated
to the support and revitalization of Waterville’s North End.
The youngest member of the 124th Maine Legislature, Rep. Beck
has additional experience with economic development and labor policy.
In January 2007, he travelled to New Orleans to work on recovery
and wage policies through a partnership with Catholic Charities.
