About Rep. Grant

Rep. Gay Grant is serving her first term in the Maine House of Representatives. She is a member of the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.

Grant is a small business owner and works with non-profit organizations, schools and small businesses across Maine, helping them to secure funding for projects vital to Maine people. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Gardiner Public Library, is a Trustee of the Transfiguration Hermitage in Windsor, serves on the Board of the Friends of the Maine State Museum, and on the Board of Advisors of Bread of Life Ministries. She is also a professional singer, performing in a jazz quartet with her husband, drummer Ron Grant, called “Generations.”

Grant and her husband are both Maine natives and graduates of Gardiner Area High School and the University of Maine system. They have two grown children and live in South Gardiner. She is the author of “Along the Kennebec: The Herman Bryant Collection.”
