Representative Aaron M. Frey
Rep. Aaron M. Frey is serving his second term in the Legislature and represents House District 18, which covers part of Bangor, part of Orono and Veazie.
Rep. Frey earned a degree in politics from Saint Anselm College and a law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. He works as an attorney and has his own law practice in downtown Bangor.
Born in Bangor, Rep. Frey initially lived on Birch Street until his family moved to a neighboring community. He presently lives in Bangor on Drew Street.

Rep. Frey previously served on the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs.
Brief description of the subject matter handled by the committee: General Fund appropriations and general fiscal policy; federal funds allocations; special revenue and block grant allocations; Budget Stabilization Fund; unappropriated surplus; bond issues; collective bargaining funding; review of revenue estimates; budgeting methodologies, review of financial orders; financial evaluation of agencies of state government; Maine Public Employees Retirement System; retirement eligibility and benefits for state and municipal employees, including teachers; judicial and legislative retirement systems.
