Issues
I am interested in working with ATV Maine toward the responsible
use of ATV's. In addition, I would like to ensure adequate state
funding for local education, especially in the less affluent
communities of the state.

Legislation
There are two pieces of legislation I am especially pleased
to have played a role in passing.
Controlling Internet Spam
“Spam email” is now required to contain
a valid return e-mail address to allow people to unsubscribe
from further unsolicited email because of LD
255, An Act to Control Internet “Spam,” which
restricts unsolicited commercial email.
Establishing the Community College System
LD
1369, An Act to Establish the Maine Community College System,
transforms the Maine Technical College System into community
colleges, which will expand access to low-cost post-secondary
education for Maine residents and ensure an educated work force
in the state.
