About
Rep. Farrington
Representative David Farrington is serving his second term in the
Legislature and serves on the Committee on Education and Cultural
Affairs.
Representative Farrington is a Maine native and has been a Gorham
resident since 1996. For eight years he taught social studies at
Gorham High School and for five of those years also coached middle
school basketball. Since 2002 David has taught world history and
advised the Model United Nations program at Yarmouth High School.
During his educational career he has participated in school reform
and curriculum development projects with the Southern Maine Partnership,
the Coalition of Essential Schools, the Maine Humanities Council,
and the Educational Testing Service.
Representative Farrington's community involvement has included
serving as a member of the Board of Deacons at First Parish Church
in Gorham and volunteering as a soccer, basketball, and baseball
coach with the Gorham Recreation Department.
He has been married to Stacey Farrington since 1989 and they have
two children, both in elementary school.
