Rep. Babbidge
Rep. Babbidge is serving his second term in the House of Representatives.
He is a member of the Legislature’s Committee on Natural
Resources.
He is a graduate of South Portland High School and earned a
Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Southern
Maine. A veteran classroom teacher, he has taught history and
government at Kennebunk High School for more than two decades.
Rep. Babbidge is also an instructor and former director of the
Muskie Scholars summer program at Bates College in Lewiston.
He is a dedicated member of the education community and a volunteer
in school programs. He is a former president of the Maine Council
for the Social Studies, former Teachers’ Association president
and chief negotiator, member of the Advisory Committee to the
State YMCA’s Youth in Government Program, and Kennebunk
High School Political Affairs Club organizer and advisor.
Rep. Babbidge is an active member of his community. He was a
member of the Kennebunk Charter Commission and has served on
the Kennebunk Comprehensive Plan Committee.
He and his wife Linda live in Kennebunk. They have three children.
