Rep. Boland
Rep. Andrea Boland is serving her first term in the Legislature.
She is a member of the State and Local Government Committee and
the Government Oversight Committee.
Active in her community, Rep. Boland has served on Sanford’s
personnel board, the York County budget committee, the board
of directors of the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford, and
the Sanford Maine Stage Pinetree Players. She was instrumental
in bringing the Odyssey of the Mind program to Sanford.
Rep. Boland works as a real estate title examiner and as an
independent distributor for a company that formulates and markets
nutritional products and functional foods. Previously, she worked
as a consultant to the city of Boston and successfully set up
an agency to collect delinquent municipal taxes.
Rep. Boland was born and raised in the Boston area. She graduated
from Elmira College in New York with a bachelor’s degree
in international relations and French. She studied for a year
at the University of Paris at the Political Science Institute
and earned her master’s in business administration from
Northeastern University.
Rep. Boland moved to Maine in 1978 and resides in Sanford. Her
daughter, Michaela, is a recent graduate of USM, and her son,
Tim, lives in San Diego where he manages a restaurant. Rep. Boland
enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and studying French.
