Weekly Claim Card Mailings Will End October 17 Bookmark and Share

October 3, 2013

Effective October 17, 2013, the mailing of weekly paper claim cards will be eliminated for most unemployment compensation programs. This change is being implemented to reduce delays in benefit payments caused by mail delivery. You will continue to be able to file weekly claims by telephone using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) claims system by dialing 1-800-593-7660 or by internet on the Maine Internet Claims System (MICS) at www.file4ui.com. You may also call the Unemployment Claims Center at 1-800-593-7660 to speak to a representative Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Weekly claims for special programs which include Dislocated Worker Benefits (DWB), Extended Benefits (EB), TRA, TAA , and Workshare will still need to be filed on the special claim forms specific to those programs.
