ROCKLAND ? A job fair is planned 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 28, at the office of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, 91 Camden St. All job seekers are welcome.

?This job fair shows how Maine people can benefit when state agencies work together to provide solutions," said Governor Paul R. LePage. "I encourage job seekers in the Rockland area to participate as our coastal communities and businesses get ready for the busy summer season.?

Among the employers who have signed up for this event are Manpower, MAS Home Care of Maine and Project Flagging. They will be seeking to fill dozens of different job openings in the region.

Department of Labor staff from the Rockland CareerCenter will be on hand to explain how job seekers can gain free access to details of hundreds of opportunities on the Maine Job Bank at http://www.mainecareercenter.com . Employers can post jobs on the job Bank for free.

The event is sponsored by DHHS and the Maine Department of Labor and is a result of the tri-agency collaboration undertaken by the commissioners of the Departments of Labor, Education and DHHS. The collaboration seeks to leverage the strengths of each agency to assist people in finding good jobs through education and training, career counseling and supportive services.

There is no cost for this event, and all job seekers are welcome. The easily accessible DHHS office is on the street level of the building, and there is plenty of free parking.
