Wilton Workshops Highlight Nontraditional Jobs for Women Bookmark and Share

March 14, 2008

The Wilton CareerCenter is partnering with Women Unlimited to offer an upcoming series of workshops promoting learning opportunities for women interested in pursuing nontraditional occupations.

Nontraditional jobs are gender segregated occupations where one sex comprises a large majority of the workforce in the occupation. Examples of nontraditional jobs for women are mechanics, construction occupations, and engineers.

Six workshops are planned in March and April and will cover the topics of the OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training and Construction Math. For more information, contact the Wilton CareerCenter.
